Pascal Fellonneau

Pascall Fellonneau

What I enjoy most from photographer Pascall Fellonneau is his use of color, simple as that... His work is quite beautiful, the compositions are well thought out and subltle, but there are a couple of things that bother me about his online portfolio...the images that are weak really ruin the quality of his overall presentation.

There are a few images in each series which disrupted the flow of the work. In some cases, the photos look like amatuerish snap-shots, but these rogue images are then sandwiched between two intriguing photos, thus taking away their impact... Perhaps our discussion today in class on the photographer Baryl Fine made me a little quick to judge.

Either way, take the time to browse through his work, and be sure to look through some of the sites on his link page.

  1. i really like a lot of his images, especially the bottom two you posted here. The middle one feels like a graveyard the way that the plastic is in the proportion and rounded top like a coffin. And this bottom one has such a wonderful color pallet (purple and red light contrasting with the blue clouds in the sky and the green church building). It is so peaceful and lonely yet sad and grim with the piles of snow, unusual architecture, and somewhat threatening clouds.
